Headboard and Bed Frame Disassembly
A large headboard or assembled bed frame can be harder to move than a mattress. We help Greater Boston customers plan disassembly and reassembly when bedroom furniture will not clear the route.
Identify the furniture before the move
Send the bed size, manufacturer or model if known, and photos of the headboard, rails and connection points. Note whether the bed has storage drawers, a lift mechanism, upholstery or an adjustable base. These features can change the preparation and service scope.
Check both ends of the route
Measure the existing room exit and the destination entrance, along with stairs and elevator openings. A headboard may remain a single large panel even when removed from the bed, so its size still matters. Discuss the largest component with the team before scheduling.
Prepare the room for reassembly
Clear the working area and confirm the final furniture position. Explain any missing hardware, existing damage or previous repairs before the appointment. Keep the furniture instructions if available. Confirm what is included in the quote, including any transport between addresses.

Common questions
Can an upholstered headboard be reduced in size?
Removing a headboard from a frame does not necessarily make the headboard itself smaller. Ask for a construction assessment.
Should I remove all the hardware first?
Discuss preparation with the team. Unplanned disassembly can leave missing parts or make assessment harder.
